The Handyman's Pocket Book: Glue for Horn, Bone, Etc.
The addition of 1 oz. glacial acetic acid to a pint of hot scotch glue will increase its adhesive quality for horn, bone, ivory, or erinoid. Greasy woods like rosewood and teak should be glued with the same mixture.
