Our New Kitchen.

It must be said that our kitchen is a bit of a disaster.
Poorly installed during, and I'm guessing here, the 1970's.
Today I begin the process of taking down the partition between the kitchen and the lounge area in an attempt to create an open plan living space.
First to go will be the breakfast bar that I've never eaten my breakfast on.
I now have to get my large hammer out of my shed.

I love demolition. In reality it is uncreation and can be as satisfying as creating.
In the very small house my very small wife occupies the kitchen, eating and living room are all one big room. We are either cooking in the living area or living in the cooking area. I suspect that if we had a separate parlor we would still spend our lounging time in the kitchen.

Ooh, the Big Hammer! This is music to my ears, OSM :-)

In the words of my old workshop boss and good friend "if at first you don't succeed, try a bigger hammer!"
