During the early years of my life I spent 12 years working on the shop-floor of a large factory.
First, as a Special Process (S.P.) Moulder, then, as an S.P. Machine Minder finally, as a Mould Cleaner.
Everyday/afternoon/night, depending on my shift, for a 12 hour period, I was exposed to types of sound that I have attempted to replicate here.
The BigMetalTower.

I do not recommend the sniffing of ammonia to heighten the listening experience.

I swear some god or other is talking to you. This is brilliant sound, especially so when connected with the idea of recreating something you lived with for 12 years. (But how does one sniff aphasia, exactly? I had to look up "anomia." It sounds like drunken ammonia, doesn't it?) Brilliant, I swear!
Thanks for your observations on BigMetalTower.
Gave me a bit of a 'glow' to think someone 'got it'.
I wanted to communicate something visceral and
have always found three verses and a jolly singalong chorus inadequate to fully describe my direct experience of those years.
I had an amount of negative feed-back relating to the E.P. during it's creation.
Some people finding them 'ugly' or 'just noise'.
Of course there's some merit in 'face value' judgements such as these but there's a bigger idea I'm trying to communicate here.
As a record of the time I'm satisfied with it.
At Linda's request I did leave one track out.
"The Healing Room of the BigMetalTower".
(the one with all the screaming in it)
Linda, knowing the background to this work, said it was 'to 'heavy' and she's probably right.
And genuine thanks for pointing out the 'typo'.
The smell of ammonia was a constant during those years much the same way as my tinnitus is now.

Oh! So sniffing ammonia adds to the sensory experience of BigMetalTower recall. I figured that sniffing anomia was some British esoteric thing that I could never fully grasp, even if I committed myself completely to BigMetalTower.
I am afraid of The Healing Room.
It looks like I can only only download the tracks in AIFF format. Am I missing something?
I left them as AIFF as I'm of the understanding it's the uber-format.
If you want mp3's let me know.
I like this! But it's quite unsettling, like your last album. It sounds like years spent next to machines that could take ones arm off indeed.
I'll play it as "mood music" at times when complacency would be dangerous.
