Public Information Films and O.S. Maps...

To aid my bicycle forays into the void I have decided to update my tattered Ordnance Survey map of the local area...
On a whim I tried searching the electric interweb to find out if the O.S. 'key' has ever appeared on a tea-towel and discovered this public information film detailing the making of O.S. Maps...

Fantastic Stuff! I love these old Documentaries by Pathe and the British Transport Film Unit too. Cracking Stuff, OSM :-)

By the way, if you're in the market for a new OS Map, you might want to take a look at www.aqua3.com for a lovely range of all-weather, custom made OS Maps. I have one of their OS Select, Explorer Evolution Maps of that covers all of my favourite "forraging grounds" and flying fields. Well worth the bunce :-)

Thanks for the tip P. Tash...
I began to understand the wisdom of all-weather maps when, on my way up Snowdon via Crib Goch, the elements ripped my map to pieces...
