News Flash: Adopt A Lobster.

In conjunction with Hooting Yard I ask all readers of this blog to adopt a lobster.

I have already adopted a sizable number of lobsters in my lifetime. Sadly none have survived their first hot bath. Dipping them in butter did not revive them.

I'm reluctant to tell a man from Louisiana anything about sea food.

I consider this adoption the beginning of an elaborate preparation for a meal I hope to eat in the future.
I know Padstow, I used to go on holiday there before it was taken over by celeb-cook Rick Stein.
There were HUGE holding tanks full of lobster and crab caught off the Cornish coast then flown into France then back to London to be sold as French lobster and crab (allegedly).
I bought the biggest crab I could see.
It was thrown in the boiler then given to me. I set about opening it with a pair of pliers only to find it was, sort of, empty.

I have done as you asked and adopted said crustacean. It's had a nice hot bath and is currently chilling out in the freezer :-)
