The crows looked purposeful and benign before. Now they DO look evil and murderous. Very evocative! Murder in the Horse Mausoleum reminds me of a dream I had once about getting locked in a slaughterhouse of epic proportions -- ceilings so high I could not see them, huge black ominous doors made of massive wooden planks and iron. I drove into the long central hallway in a little car, thinking it was a horse stables. When I got to the exit it was shut and locked. Mares of the Night galloped into my Land of Dreams. (I feel like I might have mentioned this in some comment already. Do you think it is possible that two of your posts could remind me of that dream?)
